Piotr Anderszewski
The Polish pianist Piotr Anderszewski was born in Warsaw in 1969 and trained at the Chopin Academy and in Strasbourg, Lyon and Los Angeles; his teachers included Fou Ts’ong, Leon Fleisher and Murray Perahia. In 1990 he abandoned a performance in the semi-finals of the Leeds Piano Competition part-way through due to being unhappy with his playing, but his career nonetheless took off over the course of the following year.
